Data from an independent study using BZT® PRE-GE was presented at the World Aquaculture Society’s 2013 Asia-Pacific Aquaculture Show in Vietnam. A paper, presented by Valeriano L. Corre, Jr., from the Institute of Aquaculture, College of Fisheries and Ocean Sciences, University of the Philippines Visayas, studied the effects of BZT® PRE-GE as a feed additive for Tiger Shrimp (Penaeus monodon). Data presented in the paper were very promising for BZT® PRE-GE. Higher weight gain, better Feed Conversion Ratios (FCR), and better survival against White Spot Syndrome Virus (WSSV) were just some of the benefits observed in this study. In his presentation, Prof. Corre provides details regarding two of the active ingredients, mannan oligosaccharides (MOS) and β-glucans and how their prebiotic effects may be manifested.
PRE-GE is one of the newest products to enter the BZT® product line. Introduced just a year previously, it is already receiving accolades from users expressing similar results to those of this study.
